  As transit agencies electrify their fleets, there are many new considerations for operators from an infrastructure perspective. In particular, the electrical equipment and the required knowledge to support it increases greatly in comparison to the operation of a diesel fleet. The purpose of this session will be to educate the audience on a variety of topics related to this new infrastructure including electricity fundamentals, types of equipment required to support charging, relevant safety and service procedures, as well as solutions for how transit agencies can manage all of it.

  Challenges and opportunities for fleet decarbonization skill building. This panel will cover future, present and past trade mechanics to discuss the new requirements of high voltage, diagnostic and tools needed to conduct proper and safe maintenance.
