Greg Brady

HR/Ops Committee Chair, York Region Transit 

Greg is the Manager of Transit Operations for York Region Transit. In this capacity, he oversees conventional and BRT bus service, Safety & Training, the Transit Control Centre and Dispatch as well as the Transit Scheduling group.
 
Greg has a degree in Urban Planning from the University of Toronto, a Masters in Adult Education, a professional designation in Business Continuity and Emergency Management and a certification in Mental Health from Queens University.
 
Greg has over 30 years of experience in Urban Transit. He is the chair of the OPTA Operations and Human Resource Committee, sits on committees for CUTA, APTA and is a member of the associate staff for the U.S. Federal Government’s Transit Training Division, T.S.I.
 
Greg’s current projects include the Yonge North Subway Extension detailed design team, Operationalizing the Electrification of the YRT Fleet, with 14 e-buses to date., bringing new on-board technologies to Transit, launching the new Major Mackenzie Bus Terminal in Vaughan and managing several high-value performance-based contracts.
 
In his spare time Greg enjoys Hockey, Boating, Golf and Baseball
