Senior Manager of the Vehicle Inspection Program Oversight Office, Ministry of Transportation Ontario
Piyali Correya is the senior manager at the Vehicle Inspection Program Oversight Office, Commercial Safety and Compliance Branch, Transportation Safety Division, Ministry of Transportation. Piyali has spent most of her career leading large-scale and complex transformations in both the public and private sectors, across industries and continents. Before her role with MTO, Piyali led the digital modernization initiative at Ontario’s apex court, the Court of Appeal. Her current focus in leading the new DriveON program is to successfully implement the digitalization of a new emissions, safety and structural inspections program in Ontario to increase compliance, reduce fraud, provide safer outcomes for Ontarians, and allow the Ministry to utilize digital inspection data to make improved evidence and safety-related decisions in the future.
