Pierre Zivec

As SVP Safety, Performance and Digital since January 2018 at Transdev Canada. Pierre oversees the compliance to regulation and internal Transdev safety policies and piloted the covid crisis period in 2020-2022. Through the performance department, he manages the fleet, the long-term investment strategy, the electrification projects, the business expertise in operation and maintenance as well as the M&A technical part (fleet, real estate, performance). He also manages the IT department and ensure that our processes and products are strongly sustainable and protected. He seats at CUTA Executive Board (Canadian Urban Transportation Association) as chair of the Business Member Committee. Engineer by trade, Pierre graduated with a master’s degree in Transportation in 2003. He joined Transdev as fleet and maintenance director of a 150 buses transit operation in Paris area. During this time, he successfully built and set to operate the first Bus Rapid Transit system in Paris area. In 2009, Pierre joined Transdev France where he worked as national fleet and maintenance manager for Transdev France and deployed the national maintenance strategy, standardizing systems, and processes to better manage maintenance operations (200+ locations). He coordinated the merging of the fleet and maintenance departments of Veolia Transport and Transdev into the new Transdev in 2010-2011 and was the ‘technical side’ of the standard procurement processes. Pierre became an expert in electro-mobility and alternative energy with several innovative projects. He was representing Transdev in the technical committee of UTP. In 2015, he joined Transdev Australia and New-Zealand as general manager of operational support where he implemented a P2P process and standardized the operation and maintenance systems and processes in all fours modes of transportation (Heavy and light rail, buses, and ferries).
