Kris Hornburg is currently the Deputy General Manager of Business Services for Durham Region Transit. His portfolio includes finance, data analytics, customer service, capital delivery and sustainability, technology services, driver training, and general business support services.
Kris has over 10 years of experience in municipal government with a focus on business transformation, customer service, and service efficiency. In his previous role at the City of Toronto, Kris was the Director of Development Process & Performance, leading the transformation of the development review process to improve approval timelines and introduce new customer-focused technology solutions. Kris also served as the Director of Business Transformation with the Toronto Transit Commission, where he led a team to drive innovation, find efficiencies, and improve customer service.
Kris holds a Master of Arts in Legal Studies from Carleton University, and a Master of Public Administration from Queens University.
