Champion for Municipal Interests

Karen Nesbitt brings over 16 years of public sector experience, primarily with the Ontario Public Service (OPS), to her role as Senior Manager at the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO)’s Policy Centre. A proven policy leader, Karen is passionate about advocating for municipalities on critical issues like housing, infrastructure development and transportation.
 
Previously, Karen held leadership roles within the OPS, spearheading initiatives that significantly impacted communities, such as transformation of the $10 billion social assistance system. Karen is a dedicated public servant and a big believer in mentorship. She holds a B.A. from Mount Allison University.
