Annie Sovcik is TATÂ’s senior director of Programs & Strategic Initiatives where she oversees multiple TAT programs designed to educate and equip members of the transportation and energy industries and build public-private partnerships to combat human trafficking. Ms. Sovcik came to TAT in 2018 with over a decade of experience as a human rights lawyer, working on anti-human trafficking, anti-torture, and refugee protection policies at a national and international level. Prior to joining TAT, Ms. Sovcik was the director of the Washington D.C. office of the Center for Victims of Torture. She has also worked as a lawyer with Human Rights First and Global Refuge and as a consultant to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. Ms. Sovcik is a graduate of the University of New Mexico School of Law and received her B.A. in International Studies from the University of Denver.
