Session Description
Session 2 of our Specialized Transit Committee day will include:
(1) Dennis Kar and Zahra Jaffer- Let’s talk customer engagement! Explore the ways to meaningfully engage with accessible transit service customers, and how journey mapping can be used as a tool for deep listening.
(2) Cheelcare is a vendor for a power-assist device that attaches to manual wheelchairs. We are beginning to see these and there are lots of questions about their safe use up vehicle ramps, for example, or when a device is secured. This session will feature a demonstration of the equipment and a discussion of standards; https://cheelcare.ca/pages/companion
