Brantford Transit is on the verge of a major transformational project. In this presentation, Brantford Transit will share their strategy for keeping riders up to date with major service changes.
Swiftly will present on ridership-centric planning. You will learn about common challenges leading to inaccurate and undercounted ridership data, analyses for improving the efficiency of schedules and routes, and tools for measuring the impact of infrastructure improvements and service changes

Carla Stout (Moderator) – Niagara Transit Commission
Carla Stout is educated in Public Administration and has dedicated the last 25 years to local government management and public service in transit. She has successfully managed and innovated both small contracted and larger conventional systems in progressively senior roles within the Niagara region. Recently in 2022, Carla was appointed as the inaugural General Manager for the newly amalgamated Niagara Transit Commission. She was elected in 2021 to the Board of Directors for the Ontario Public Transit Association.
Jenn Van Geem – Swiftly
Jenn is an Account Executive at Swiftly with over five years of experience in the public transit space. In her time at Swiftly, she has partnered with agencies across North America to deliver new and innovative projects related to real-time passenger information, day-to-day operations management and service performance improvements.
Brad Smith – Brantford Transit
Brad Smith has dedicated over 18 years to the municipal sector, specializing in the development and evaluation of community programming. His experience spans public transportation, community development, strategic planning, and social services. For the past three years, Brad has been an integral part of the Brantford Transit team, serving as a Transit Planner and Scheduler. In this role, he actively contributes to a variety of projects and programs. Most notably, over the past year, Brad has worked as part of the Brantford Transit Team on the implementation of Brantford’s optimization study, ushering in the most significant changes to Brantford Transit’s service in the last three decades.
